Cured Egg Yolk



  • 1 cup kosher salt

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 9 large egg yolks


1. Combine salt & sugar. 

2. Lay half the mixture on the bottom of a deep tupperware. 

3. Separate egg yolks from egg whites. Discard the whites(use for omelette or whatever).

3. Create grooves for the egg yolks to sit it. Place the egg yolks in.

4. Cover the yolks with the rest of the salt & sugar mixture. 

5. Close the top on the tupperware & store in the fridge for minimum 3 days. 

6. Wash the mixture off & enjoy

6. Enjoy with steaks, pasta, alcoholic drinks, or on its own to weird people out!



Misschef is an alter-ego of my true self, or rather, the neighbor everyone wishes they had. She is a mid 20s home cook that was born and bred in the city. She is a well rounded character that can be relatable to different types of people. She translates her funky/offbeat personality into her dishes. She provides a safe space for her viewers. Her kitchen is everyones kitchen, when she cooks, she welcomes the viewer into her home.


Being an integral community member, linked to many aspects of the arts in the city, she is knowledgeable of a multitude of resources that can be utilized to advance her culinary and artistic practices. She uses this wisdom to give back to the community that inspires her so deeply. She places great importance on health and wellness. She lives in a world where anything is possible. Positivity is the foundation of Misschef’s attitude. Her outlook makes her world seem utopian, but it is quite contrary. Just like every city slicker, she works everyday to stay progressive, in-tuned, and confident. Cooking is a vital part of her daily routine, that helps her stay balanced in an intense and gritty city. She is fearless in the kitchen. Even if things don’t go to plan she remains cool, calm, and collected.


She doesn’t have a lot of money but has worked hard for what she's got. Her most guarded (valued) material possession is her golden shopping cart, where she sits during her regular segment “Shopping Cart Confessionals”. That's where she gives the viewer intel on guarded restaurant secrets - tips and tricks of the trade.
